Espresso Cafe' 3 Day Watercolor Pouring Workshop

Join Jean in this 3 - day workshop, hosted by Lakes Region Watercolor Guild, learning the wonderful technique of pouring transparent watercolor to create your own beautiful painting, glowing with light! Jean credits the pouring technique for achieving the full range of values, from light to dark, in her work. Additionally, students will learn why following good design and composition guidelines leads to creating a strong work of art. 

This workshop will be filled with step-by-step instructions and demonstrations and is suitable for all levels. Jean's drawing will be provided in advance, allowing more time for focus on pouring. Students will also receive the supply list, reference photos, masking diagrams, preliminary instructions, and step by step written instructions. Students will mask and pour four times, capturing strong light, middle and dark values in the process. After adding glazes of color and finishing brushstrokes, students will have a painting they wish to frame and enjoy for years to come! Time will be reserved daily for questions and shares. Encouraging critiques will help students strengthen their works.
